Forestry: Forest Plan

Visitor safety and anti-social behaviour in the forest

We want visitors to feel safe and the forest to remain a pristine natural environment for everyone to enjoy.

Thankfully incidents of anti-social behaviour in Arlen Hill Forest are low. We are aware of the ongoing littering and occasional fly-tipping problem around the main car park and are taking steps to improve this situation.

We would like feedback from forest users about their experiences and whether there is anything else we can do to improve the safety of our visitors and to prevent anti-social behaviour in all its forms.

Objectives and Proposals

  • We are taking practical steps to decrease littering and flytipping in the forest, including extra barriers, more bins and more frequent emptying of bins.
  • We are keen to work with community groups and gain visitor feedback about how the forest experience can be made safer and more enjoyable for all our users.
